Ah i've got that feeling again. The mixed, uneasy, feeling you get when it’s the first week of a new year. Lying somewhere in between the dread of ‘I seriously must stop eating chocolate and cheese’ and the fear of having to reorganise all your life-admin, is a twinkling little glimmer of hope, which marks a new start, a second chance.
For me that’s exactly what the new year means. It means new beginnings, new promises that we make to ourselves, a new vision for the year ahead. Having done pretty badly over the past 27 years with promises to myself, this year, rather than picking myself apart and promising a total makeover of all my flaws, i’m focussing on doing more of the things I love.
I want to laugh as much as possible, do one thing for myself every day that makes me really happy, to actually start living more and to put myself and my health, mental and physical, both first.
I also want to try and inspire people and have more honest conversations about the world. The aim of this blog is to do just that, to inspire you and to provide some level of education about the realities of business, fashion, health and so much more.
Over the course of this year I’ll be sharing weekly insights into the minds of the many inspirational people who have pushed me in a better direction in some way or other. You’ll learn more about HUX and the truth behind trying to run a socially responsible business and other weird and wonderful things.
The first series of articles will be called Stay Inspired because, after all, losing inspiration really is a terrible thing.
